My husband Bryce and I have always been fans of all natural and organic. Maybe because our family is also into making organic family essentials like soaps, massage oils, travel oils and many others for our very own @theoandbshop. Everytime we go to our home in Pampanga, we get so immersed on how these products are created with love and ensured to not have even a single drop of unnatural, inorganic ingredients.
Bryce's sister, Bryan, has also been very vocal on how we should choose healthy in our everyday life. From the food we eat, to those we put on our skin, and sometimes, even home utensils. I still remember how she hoarded these kitchenware set made from coconut husks. Yes. To that extent. :) Ate Bry has been a real influence in our family. We see it in how we choose our groceries. It's quite hard to find real organic and healthy stuff and sometimes, it could be pricey. So to compensate, we just try to veer away from unhealthy drinks like soda or powdered and unnatural concentrated juices that we find in the market. And for snacks, we fill our ref with fruits so that when Zia and Zela tries to look for something to eat, fruits will be their only option. That's one hack we learned in feeding our kids right. :D
Speaking of fruits, if there is one staple fruit that should always be inside our ref, that should be GRAPES! Zia and Zela love to eat grapes! They can finish at least a kilo of grapes while watching a movie.

Zela is always very happy whenever there is grapes for snacks.

When I attended the product re-launch, a few weeks ago, I have learned that Welch's had been in the Philippines for around ten years however, not so many Filipinos know about it. But in the US, it is a staple drink. That's why it is so fitting for them to use #ShareWhatsGood and #DiscoverWhatsReal as their official hashtags because something this good needs to be known to many. Here's why:
People today have a wider range of food choices available. In reality, many families are still unable to meet their daily nutrient requirements which help prevent chronic diseases.
People today have a wider range of food choices available. In reality, many families are still unable to meet their daily nutrient requirements which help prevent chronic diseases.
According to research, the percentage of Filipino households that do
not fulfill their dietary energy requirements has been increasing. On the
latest Food Consumption Survey by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of
the Department of Science and Technology in 2013, it was revealed that 69.3%
did not fulfill their dietary energy requirements – higher by 2.4% than the
previous survey in 2008.
In addition, research says Filipinos are only able to meet 39% of the
daily 400 grams of fruits and vegetables suggested by the World Health
Organization. With less of the important naturally occurring nutrients from
fruits – such as polyphenols from grapes that help the heart – individuals are
exposed to risks of lifestyle diseases such as cardiovascular disorders.
Therefore, it is such a great news that Filipinos can now find convenient, nutritious and
delicious ways to stay healthy that match their busy lifestyle. And that includes moms like us especially if you are working like me.
Experts recommend 100% fruit juices as healthy complements to whole
fruits. While whole fruits are a great source of fiber, 100% fruit juices also
carry essential vitamins and minerals needed by the body to function well and
prevent many chronic diseases. For instance, 8 ounces of pure fruit juice such
as Welch’s 100% grape juice are equivalent to serving a whole cup of fruit.
In fact, drinking 100% fruit juice from grapes may actually provide you
with more polyphenols than eating the fruit, without causing weight gain.
Making a pure grape juice involves crushing the fruit, including seeds and dark
purple skin, which releases more of these nutrients. In addition, pure fruit
juice only uses naturally occurring fruit sugars, without any added sugars.
More than a decade’s worth of research suggests that 100% grape juice can help
support a healthy heart.

I was blessed to have shared this good news with a friend, Ruth Ramos who is also an amazing mom, blogger and vlogger. I watch her videos on Youtube Channel "Mommy Ruth". I also met Erika Rodriguez, Welch's Philippines VP for Marketing who shared how Welch's, value what's REAL, and how they value family, health and
wellness and sharing what's good. For over 140 years, Welch’s has
been providing families around the world with products that bring a happy
balance of goodness and deliciousness.
Chef Trisha Ocampo of CCA Manila also demonstrated how Welch's juice can be used to make awesome family snacks.
I went home with a few bottles of Welch's and immediately showed it to my kids Zia and Zela who influenced me to make Ice Candies using this 100% Concord Grape juice. You can try it too! It's cool and delicious!
Welch’s 100% juice drinks are widely available in retail outlets
nationwide.
